Private Clouds vs Public Cloud

Hello everyone. New installment of the "Clouds". The concept of a public cloud may sound familiar to some, but the concept of a private cloud will sound strange.

In SPCnet We speak of a private cloud when the hardware resources of a client are used exclusively by this client. Taking advantage of virtualization technologies, a customer can have a small space in our cloud that they can take advantage of as best suits them. In this space you can set up as many services as you want, as long as you do not reach the computing limit of your private cloud, without surprises in the bill, since you will have a fixed fee that will vary depending on the assigned hardware. By using a single client's services on this hardware, it will not affect the operations carried out by others and will be able to make a much more intensive use of memory, disk and CPU, with the only limitations that the contracted “metal” gives it.

At SPCnet we have a public cloud. In our public cloud you can also mount whatever you want to be virtualized servers, but, unlike in the private cloud, the "metal" is shared by multiple clients and to avoid congestion, computing limits are applied.

Therefore, if you want to set up a cluster, or have multiple services in the cloud, the best option will be a private cloud, where you can do and undo without worrying about the monthly bill, since this will be a flat rate.
